Connecticut Fallen Heroes Foundation, Inc.
The Connecticut Fallen Heroes Foundation, Inc. is a 100% volunteer organization which is dedicated to “always remembering” the brave service men and women from Connecticut as well as our country, who paid the ultimate sacrifice or were accidently killed in uniform. Our Annual Memorial Tribute is called “unmatched” by Lt Governor Nancy Wyman and is held each year on the Saturday before “Gold Star Mothers and Families Day” at the end of September.
Unfortunately, by the end of this year’s 10th Annual, we will have personally, posthumously, honored (45) fallen heroes from CT, MA, NY, and RI. Our annual tribute is the largest gathering of Gold Star Families in the State of Connecticut. Gifts of remembrance are given to each and every Gold Star Family as well as handmade colored portraits and quilts to the new families that are being personally remembered that year.
A free family banquet is catered to everyone at the park and admission is always free. The Pentagon has sent a general three years in a row to speak. We also give out scholarships to the area high schools that our fallen heroes attended, in their name and with the family present. Please join us September 28th 2013 at our 10th Annual Fallen Heroes Memorial Tribute……… truly one of a kind in the nation.
